Catholic Priest, Rev. Fr. Patrick Henry Edet Resigns From The Catholic Priesthood

Catholic Priest, Rev. Fr. Patrick Henry Edet has resigned from the Catholic priesthood, quits the Catholic Church.

He is said to have submitted his resignation letter on 31st July 2017 and this morning he reportedly made the announcement on Planet FM, Uyo.

He requested that he should be addressed as 'Reverend Patrick Edet'. And on a lighter note, he further stated that he can still be called 'Fr.'

“From today henceforth, I cease to be a Catholic Priest, in my spirit and in my soul… I forgive those who will criticize me, I live for God…I seek freedom for my soul. As I leave, I leave smiling, I AM SO HAPPY THAT I AM FREE”, he said.

The clergyman has been known for having an anointed radio and television ministry expounding on deeper truths of God's word in a fashion that isn't similar to the conventional pattern of the Roman Catholic Church. His music encourages believers to grow in the knowledge of God's word and to develop a deeper relationship with the Holy Spirit.

We know God has bigger plans for him because the Bible says in Job 22:28 that the path of the righteous is like a shining light that shines brighter and brighter even unto the perfect day.

We pray God's hand upon his life and ministry.
